Once again a temporary post to keep people updated while I sort out photos and videos. I did a homestay over the weekend @ Hita city. It also so happened that there was a rather big festival held there at that time - 日田川開き観光際 (hita kawa biraki kankousai).
The highlights of the festival must have been the 花火(hanabi - fireworks) display which were held on both Saturday and Sunday night, each lasting more than an hour and each involving more than 5000 fireworks.
I have 4 exams this week so pardon me as I take my time to put up photos and more videos...
In the meantime... watch this short 2 minute clipout of the 80 minutes that I witnessed on that night.
Lousy video quality, electric cables and an endless stream of people walking past... but still superb!

黒ガーリク豚骨ラーメン!!!
Yes... I ate "Black garlic Tonkotsu ramen"... and it was GREAT! That was my lunch on wednesday. I also went for my first haircut in Beppu-shi... this nice little hairdressing salon called CLEAR. Its a wooden "house" in the middle of nowhere.
Updates... Homestay @ HITA 日田this weekend. Apparently there will be a festival and fireworks as well! Hope it doesn't rain! Next Friday... OKINAWA!!!

Brief update...
Sorry for the lack of updates...! Have been too busy and lazy... not going to say much because I need to sleep... early class tomorrow! I shall let the photos do the talking!
By the way... I finally got my phone! Refer to the following link to see what I got... its 11.4mm thick when clammed shut! I got graphite black... its nice and shiny!
http://www.nttdocomo.co.jp/english/product/foma/703i/p703imu/index.html

Cool coke bottles @ Cool bar/restaurant in Oita where we had dinner after another satisfying shopping trip...

Nice-looking (Not that great-tasting) Omu-rice from the same bar/restaurant...

The inside of "Freshness Burger" restaurant in Beppu near Beppu-Eki. Really nice and fresh burgers! Much better than MOS Burger... but more expensive too! Bag in the foreground belongs to me... I bought Shirts!

To commemorate our (Singaporeans') first cook-together with the Canada Gang. This is the salmon and cheese dish prepared by Rosanna and Nadia.

J-MIB. I have absolutely no idea where they were headed... I only know that half of them live on the same floor as myself...

Happy Mother's Day! Japanese style... this was @ the Oita AU (Mobile Phone Company) shop...

Results for reading test 3... I passed again! Yay! Watanabe sensei made flowers this time... she really has a lot of time on her hands...

Sample of sushi from our favourite Sushi-Meijin! 100 yen kaiten-zushi (Conveyor belt sushi)!!! (105 inc. tax).

Poor Michelle and Kyoko have to share the usage of this jacket with the sweet man buying flowers...

More special ramen that went into Weili's stomach!
